I just stumbled across this:

Quote30 JULY 2011 – Manchester MCM Expo – Manchester Central
At last, an MCM Expo for the North! The organisers of the London MCM Expo, the UK's top entertainment event and Europe's answer to the San Diego Comic Con, have announced that they will be launching a Manchester MCM Expo in July 2011.

It'd be the closest one to me (until someone comes up with a Liverpool Comic Con) but there doesn't seem to be a lot of details. Anyone planning on going?
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

COMMANDO FORCES

COMMANDO FORCES

Just realised, this will be right up Dandontdare's street, literally!

Dandontdare

Yup, I can almost see it from my flat if I lean out dangerously far! I'll probably go to this, no trains or hotels needed for me!

Hey - I saw a chap reading some old QC Dredd reprints in the Salisbury earlier this evening - that wasn't you, was it Emperor?

Emperor

Not me - I haven't actually been to Manchester for a while. I think the last time was a visit to the Lowry.

And he still won't show

Oh I'll find a way to mess it up, you just wait and see.

Its a definite possibility hopefully either Birmingham of this for me next year as both are in easy kicking distance of Sheffield. Still trying to persuade my wife that it'd be lovely for her to visit her brother in Leeds on 20th November!

May I just confirm thet the Emperor has, at the very least, got a carbon based avatar. I have met and interacted with it at two previous Bristol shows.

Bloody Hell...might break my comic convention virginity on this one

Definately going to this one - it's only 13 miles from home.

I'm more towards Stockport/Hazel Grove.... it gets a bit posher after Levvy. The 192 battle bus at 3.00 on a sunday morning is a scary place to be!! It even has it's own Facebook Group call 'I Survived the 192' haha

I once lost my wallet on the 192. Rang the stagecoach depot on the offchance and the chap who answered said, "hold on, I'll ask." I heard him asking the assembled drivers if anyone had handed in a wallet on the 192 and could not fail to notice the gales of laughter this provoked.
