But they said nothing would be ready for April's KAPOW  ;)

Really? I missed that.

COMMANDO FORCES

There was a tweet/email/post somewhere saying that there would be no footage ready for KAPOW. So who knows, I live in hope

I never said it was official.. Might have been one of the assistant editors having some fun.
You have never felt pain until you've trodden barefoot on an upturned lego brick..

Mark Millar:

Quotecould I just clarify that Andrew (MacDonald, producer) will at best have STILLS from the movie and not actual scenes? The movie will still be shooting at this stage and they won't have anything edited.

He lies, the movie has finished it's initial shooting, there will be some additional stuff in March but by April the shoot should be completed unless re-shoots are required.

QuoteJudge Dredd is to shoot at Cape Town Film Studios in South Africa, with the production due to wrap in March 2011.

At least he's covering his bionic eyes.

Editors generally work throughout a film-shoot (checking, cataloguing dailies and scene assemblies) so it's not outlandish to say that something couldn't be knocked up, it's whatever stage the CGI is at that would have implications for any released footage.

Bit late but this Lena Headey on her FB page

Quoteyo !! facebookers ... sorry i have been MIA ...

South Africa was beautiful and complicated as all interesting places are .

Had an absolute ball on Judge Dredd , playing someone is is broken and damaged , who's heart beats with rage and loss.

Very interesting. I wonder who took that pic.. I was there when ol' Karl went for a dip (admittedly, the stunt girls were a lot easier on the eye though..). Apparently someone offered one of the stunt guys R5000 (about GBP460) to get Dan The Military Advisor into the pool.. Dan had a 'I'll break your arm look' on his face. No sense of humour.

That's military types for you. Next time I get to a con, I'm going to offer Roger £2.40 and a packet of Quavers if he can get Commando Forces into the hotel spa. Hilarity and mayhem are sure to ensue.
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

I read that as Stunt Guy R5000, like he's some kind of disposable robot...

The guy's a REME with an over inflated opinion of himself, with a sprinkling of BS as a topping. He was asking for a dunking.. (He kicked me out of the room when they presented the Lawgivers to the lead actors. I'm slightly bitter, and being 50% Irish I'll never forget..)

...I've forgotten what I was going to say now..

That's a bit shit - if you've been working hard on something, it's only right to see how it's received by the people who are going to be using them.

Domhnall Gleeson Interview

...you're working with Karl Urban on remake of Judge Dredd - what can you tell us?

A: It's early days yet! I can't really say too much - it's from the same producers as Never Let Me Go. I can say that it's going to be EPIC and in 3D but with a very moral aspect to the story. If it works out as they've described, it's going to be very big.
