LI also like how they expanded the chest armour. I'm pretty sure I suggested that before they stole the idea.

You mean you suggested it before the '95 film too?

Don't think that's what he meant

Dode C

This interpretation of Dredd looks the business. The helmet is spot on, the body armour looks fit for purpose ie kicking futuristic arse and the lawgiver looks suitably chunky and mean. All in all looking good.

Don't you know anything???
Future arse is 17% more harder to kick - FACT!!!
...because I hate you.

Emp

Ah!....alright then.....sturdier boots required.

Radbacker

wow, late to the party but that looks cool as.  I didn't mind the look from the last one but this looks much more practical.  And the Lawgiver rocks.
Need more now.

Considering they ripped off Dredd for the poster it's only fair:

Speaking of which; how awesome would have been if Frank Frazetta had gotten to illustrate/paint Judge Dredd!!

I don't think the fabric of the universe could have handled a FF Dredd painting, seas raising ,fire and brimstone etc....just too awesome.

It's okay mr carlos sir, we just all much prefer your original.

And- since when did the 95 version have 'armour' on the chest? That's just a big clip to hold the shoulder pads on. There's plated armour on the back, yes, but if anything, the front is a bra.

I love it more everytime I look at it to be honest. The neck padding is one of the best touches in my opinion, and I'm well pleased they've got the gloves nailed.

One change there that I think might work really well is that it appears the respirator is much wider - when it slides down it looks like theres sections either side of the shield that come down as well in line with the sides fo teh helmet so that it covers the whole face - that could look quite cool, and more practical that the "jsut the shield" version that you see in the comic.

edit:  I see Kev Levs already figured that out!

The helmet is definitely too big. I called over the wife and asked her immediate reaction and it was 'the helmet is too big' and she's got experience of that kind of thing.

I wonder though, and sorry if this has been speculated already, if the helmet juts out because the film is being made in 3D and to have it regular sized may have spoiled the effects.

Frankly is someone has ponied up $50 million I'd be inclined to go along and see what they come up with.

Dredd and Tintin in one year - it's like someone ready my fantasy journal! All I need is Joan Collins to make another Bitch or Stud and I'm all done!
