They look pathetic. My first impression, they look old by todays standards let alone the future. The suit is cool but this? i'm worried now.
Look more like dog warden vans, not at all impressed, god help us if whatshisname sees these...

Yes, but we're not quite done yet. There's at least 9 months of production and post production. You can't judge, forgive the pun, the show on some random background filler stuff..
You have never felt pain until you've trodden barefoot on an upturned lego brick..

What I'm hoping for is they have some meatier vehicles done in post - nothing too outlandish, but something more imposing.

Hopefully these are just background/filler vehicles - they honestly look too small for a catch wagon.

Danbo

Don't worry im not writing it off,i know it will be different. Less Mad Max would be nice though.

The Big Man

I'm hoping for a Stan Lee-style cameo from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra. What are the chances ?
"Is there a problem here ?"

Misanthrope

Is there any truth in the story that Michael Biehn was turned down for the role of Dredd because he was too old?
Did you know Christ was a werewolf?

So there are flying H wagons in? very much doubt that going off the SFX guys comments about budget.I may be wrong though an i will eat as much humble pie as is available.
And thats all im saying on the matter before the thought police arrest me for having an opinion.

I'm not particularly shocked by these photos and it's a mistake to make a visual judgement now on a film that will spend over a year in post-production. I'm thinking it may likely have somewhat of an Origins rough and ready look and feel to it which is fine by me as Dredd is still young in it. If the narrative and direction are strong, the general audience and fans will have more chance of liking it.

The 3D aspect is only a gimmick, I only saw Avatar in 2D, never cared to see it in 3D. It made no difference either way since it plays like a normal film without the extra dimension, no reason why Dredd can't be the same. The narrative and directorial flaws in Avatar stand out whether it is in 3D and 2D, so it's not particulalry important, it's only to serve a recent a marketing trend.

COMMANDO FORCES

I wonder if this version is set at the beginning of the city's history and therefore all the comic stuff is still to come.

SmallBlueThing

Yes CF, about 1979 by the look of it! :-D

I can see their logic in focusing on traditional wheeled vehicles since the Judges are still tearing around a massive city on motorbikes.
