A3 or A2 posters?

Sounds like a trivial question but not where the cost price is concerned.
I'm planning to get some posters printed to sell at marts and shows in the new year.

Considering the market audience will be 20 something and up, what size would you think would be best to go for, modest sized A3 or in your face A2?

My wife thinks only kids want huge posters.

Any advice/opinions will be greatly appreciated before my hand goes in the wallet.

Much easier to get frames etc for A3 Alex but A2 is cool.

Yeah to frame and put up A3 would be much better. Are you planning to use existing images or creating new ones?

Agree with Kerrin on the framing thing. And you can find more A3 space on the walls than A2

It's the three existing Vixen posters that I'm getting done. Still got one character to do but it's finding the time.

A3 - not everyone will want them as posters, some may want to keep them in a portfolio book ...

A3. Print wise A2 can only be printed either large format digital or offset-litho - both can be cost prohibitive, esp offset as the price will include initial setup costs for plates and machine time, whilst A3 can be printed on a short run digital press for a reasonable price, also get costs for double sided as well as single sided as DS on a digital press is usually only a fraction more expensive as most can print both sides at the same time. If you want PM me and I can put you in touch with some decent digital printers.

And to be honest i'm a bit relieved to hear the unanimous vote for A3. There can be a very hefty price jump from A3-A2.

I printed some posters for my kids at A2, set into A1 frames. I had them done at Staples and they cost about a tenner each.

Bit late to this one- but another vote for A3 here. At cons many folk will be able to have that size off you straight away- but A2 could be more tricksy.

very late to the party, but along with all the reasons above, A2's easier to transport for seller and buyer and to display at cons and in shops.

Thinking of cross/up selling sets of 4,(well you could!0 I don't imagine many people could get 4 A2's on their walls while most folk could possibly fine the space for 4 A3's.
