A weird xmas this year, as my brother moved to Canada and m'lady is stuck down at her folks so we'll be having a bonus xmas once we get back home. Thank god for Skype!

No toothy or comic related gifts so far, but I'm very pleased with my loot! Bookwise got the Simon Pegg biog, a Karl Pilkington one and 'Child 44' which I've never heard of but my mum picked it which is usually a good sign.

Got an old Counting Crows double live album that I heard about 10 years ago and reckon I've been banging on about ever since, and New Vegas. Having that and knowing I'm a few days from my xbox pains me.

Also, the Kevin Bridges standup dvd takes this years Frankie Boyle Award for most copies in the house.

Mikey

Let's see...

Grandville Mon Amour
Buddy Does Seattle and Buddy Does New York
Surface Detail (Banks)
How to Survive a Science Fiction Universe (Yu)
Word Origins (and how we know them)
New Grindermand album & Surrealistic Pillow (Jefferson Airplane)
Hoody
Gromit slippers!

Not too shabby! But I'm well jealous of the Star Wars Lego.

Explain yourself, young man!

its a novelty reindeer that when you press its tail it shits sweeties and plays a merry tune!

Mardroid

So far I've got a new dressing gown (really needed, my old one was really tatty) and a cheque from my Dad and his wife.

That's it, but I likely have a couple more on the way when I catch up with friends after Christmas.

Emperor

As well as comics, books and DVDs, but the very fitting "saw this and thought of you" present, the Toilets of the World 2011 calendar:

www.teneues.com/shop-us/calendars/lifestyle/toilets-of-the-world-2011.html

Plus a book with a hologram on the front:

www.amazon.co.uk/Look-Its-Jesus-Amazing-Everyday/dp/0811870006/
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Parker:The Outfit
Hi-Fi Colour for Comics
The Bryan Hitch Studio art book
and an Apple TV

Say what you like about apple, but as long as you play in their eco-system, the stuff works painlessly. LOVE the apple tv - and have started the long , long job of digitising my DVD library (luckily I started a few months ago as I'd asked for it).

Strange to watch DVDs and not hear the constant whirr of a dvd or hard drive.

EDITED TO ADD: On the negative side, my 6 year old loves watching youtube videos (of game walkthroughs) on the iPad, and he knows how to send that video to the apple tv, so now the living room is turning into youtube telly.

No comic related loot for me on annual junk accumulation day (Mr Ungrateful!). I really don't need anything and storage is a real problem so Xmas means more unwanted stuff. A lot of it every year just goes to charity shops. Next year I might insist on a no presents rule.

After being asked for the last few weeks what I want from the Mrs I suggested a few days ago Forbidden Planet vouchers but was too late for that. Also suggested Curb 7 but I guess Santa couldn't find it.

I did get:
• Tons of chocolates even though I am on a non-dairy diet. I caved in today and had a couple.
• Tons of shower gel type stuff.
• Jeans.
• All Quiet on the Western Front DVD which I already have so that will be exchanged.

My karate instructor got me this very Christmassy DVD:

I bought the Mrs these top posh snob bath products and I had a little smirk as the name 'Otto' caught my eye when she unwrapped it. Not quite Sump products but that came to mind.
