HI ALL, I WAS A PASSIONATE 2000AD FAN BACK IN THE LATE 70'S & 80'S THEN LIFE TOOK ME IN ANOTHER DIRECTION. GOT THE JUDGE DREDD ORIGINS FOR CHRISTMAS OUT OF THE BLUE, STARTED READING AND FELT LIKE i HAD BEEN REUNITED WITH AN OLD FREIND.  iVE GOT A LOT OF CATCHING UP TO DO!!  HOWS THE LAST 25 YEARS BEEN? WHATS BEEN THE BEST STORIES- NEW CHARACTERS? WOW, I FEEL FIRED UP WITH JUST THE THOUGHT OF ALL THOSE BACK PROGS

Spaceghost

NICE ONE, I mean nice one! Hello! You've started reading again at the right time. 2000AD is at an all time high at the moment.

New characters and stories I'd recommend are;

Shakara
Kingdom
Stickleback
Defoe
Nikolai Dante
Zombo
Savage

Loads really. Have fun re-discovering it all!
Raised in the wild by sarcastic wolves.

Previously known as L*e B*tes. Sshhh, going undercover...

Colin YNWA

Yeah good to have someone back on board. Can't fault Lee's list (well I'm not a massive fan of Defoe or Stickleback - but then that's half the fun!). I'd add any of the work of John Smith to this. There's also a fantastic line of 'Case-Files' for Dredd and other classics that help you read the stories of old again.

Lots of info here

Of course the best thing to do is to start picking up the prog every week. Now that you can't go wrong with its been on superb form the last few years.

Jim suffers from incurable typograsensitivity, but on this occasion even my comics-sans dulled palate agrees with him.  Welcome, slokesvile!  What's a quarter century between squaxx.  The Kingdom collection should definitely be your first stop.

Welcome back! 25 years? Was it a coma? I can think of no other reason to be so forgetful.

Spend an hour or so browsing here, then get thee to a big bookshop and buy trades. Kingdom, Tour of Duty, Stront, Slaine, that kind if thing. But make sure you pick up Leviathan, newly published in paperback, and then set aside an evening to read it. One of the best things Tharg's ever done.

Welcome, your return reminds me of a Jerry Sadowitz Mandela joke, but in a nice way!
DDT did a job on me

Looking forward to catching up. Ive still got all my old progs sealed and boxed up in the loft, might have to dig them out as well. I see there is a new  judge dredd film on the horizon - anyone have any comments on that. I remember when the sly one came out, I was so looking forward to seeing it and then felt dissapointed after. I always thought that if it had been done well there would of been no end to where it could of gone.  So many great stories

Emp

i think there might be a few comments on the film floating about somewhere round here :D
