It's amazing to think how many stories that will never be told. Out of the hundreds of millions who fought, died or survived though there are many remarkable tales of incredible people.

As mentioned before, I don't think anyone could trump the story of the White Rose -Sophie and Hans Scholl with Christian Probst daring to defy the Third Reich from it's very innards. Just finished reading her biography by Frank McDonough. Truly inspiring.

Another great potted history would be another resister -Admiral Wilhelm Canaris, head of the Abwehr, the Nazi Intelligence service who reputedly set up Department 'Z' whose sole function was to try and assassinate Hitler. He also botched various tasks assigned to the Abwehr until it had to be disbanded and he was garotted in a caoncentration camp.

If the little one chooses Oskar Schindler, try and get in the allegation that Oskar used to go two's up on Jewish slave girls (I can't think of any other adjectives to satisfactorily describe their condition) with Amon Goth...
