You don't need to be single to have a lousy Valentines day!

I had to work 'til 9pm, but my lady graciously held off having her dinner so I could pick us up some chinese goodness on my way home. The chinese was closed, so I called and made some other suggestions, she insisted she didn't want anything from anywhere so I ate a Subway while she refused to speak to me for some reason, most likely because I hadn't bought her any of that food she said she didn't want me to get her. At least if I was single I could have changed the tv channel. Romance!

What your missus really meant was to find another Chinese.
Even though you had been working all day and well into the evening meant nothing to the complex breed.
Even though I work and my missus doesn't (well only one day of voluntary work at the sure start) she still half expected me to have arranged for my mum to have come round to look after the kids while we went out for a meal.
In these times of equal rights the women still expect us to do most of the legwork in romance.
