First impressions

I've been online for a little while now and been a member of a few forums over the years and I can honestly say that this is the friendliest and most professionally that I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

The rules are clear and sensible and the attitude is spot on. The whole thing feels very British, in the very best sense of the word, as it should do for a British institution like 2000 AD.

Thanks to everyone who has made me feel very welcome (even though it was still been under 24 hours since I joined!) and to whoever it is that is running this thing.

Totally agree, first place I've been where I wanna come back. No slagging other posters off( very common especially with Americans). Well thought out discussions, humour and a wide range of topics, cant ask for more

I found that as well. Way too much back stabbing on a lot of the big forums, especially the American ones.

'This forum has the most hardcore fans around and for that you should be proud, but at the same time has a strong rep as 'don't bother going there, it's a dozen people who wish it was like the old days and the rest are scared to talk'. I know it's not like that, but that's the serious impression this site gives. Many creators are too scared to even read the forum, let alone reply. This is the forum that spawned the 'fan' that sent me shit, after all!!

Wow, that's interesting. But it's really not the impression I got when I was lurking around here and certainly not the impression I got when I joined. I was welcomed and haven't felt in the least bit scared to reply or, indeed, to post.

Welcome, and well said! This is pretty much the only forum I visit daily to be honest, although I lurk on a couple of others without every really posting. Lots of good folks and stimulating banter on here to be sure.

I was just watching the Culture show on and trolling was getting a well deserved ass kicking. This guy phoned up a troll and once he realised his identity was revealed the fool had to apologise, immediately. The anonymity factor has always been sussed out on this board. WE will find the culprit at a convention soon. Nobody taints 2000ad fans with shit in envelope, sending.

A good dunking is punishment that fits the crime. Or to give it its medieval retributive name a "stooling".
