We at Back From The Depths are once again looking for contributors for our free, annual pdf horror comic, HALLOWSCREAM. Here's this year's guidelines (with a new email address to send stuff to)...

Emperor

I assume there doesn't need to be anything done with the two stories I've had in since last year? Or is there anything new I should be aware of?
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

Well that's definitely going in.

Incidentally, if anyone less artistically or writerishly inclined wants to get involved, there's an opportunity for you to do so. All you have to do is guess what the editor, (The Reaper), looks like beneath the cowl and do a drawing, (arty folk can do this too if they want, even if they're already involved)...

Before he became possessed of an ancient evil, The Reaper was as human as some of you reading this may be. However, it is now impossible for any mere mortal to gaze upon his vile visage without being driven completely insane, (or at the very least succumbing to a violent bout of vomiting).

That being said, we invite you to imagine the unimaginable and submit your ideas of what his fearsome fizog might look like. There's no prize money or anything like that, but we may feature your pictures in the next issue of Hallowscream!

Simply send your drawings to merjeagles@yahoo.co.uk or post them below.

Any similarities to competitions involving other hooded editors of suspiciously similarly-titled horror comics of the past is entirely coincidental.

You don't say? Is it as kid-friendly as last year's entry, eh, Van Dom?

Van Dom

Nice little plug there Malcolm. Just so you know, I have a couple of tales in the works for this years edition, both featuring the return of a couple of familiar faces... :)

It's not really clear from the guidelines, but do you guys also want a synopsis with the script?

M.I.K.

Not necessary. Include one if you want but just the script will do.
