Pint on, however the Awards Party after the con is also ticketed and sold out too. :)

i think the message is ...bugger off to the pub....which seems a fine idea!

I'm not sure anyone needed much encouragement for that, its getting them out again that is the problem ;)
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Pity voting is a little tricky for me but there are plenty of local boarders, so be sure to pop in and cast your votes, there is plenty of solid options to chose from.

Several pints hopefully!  :D

Alreay put in for my half day off and told the memsabib I'm going, so will pop across for pints/nerd chat/quiet fuming  ;)

What the nearest habitable pub? what time's good for all?   I'll be through about 2-ish.

This one is just along from the venue (Marked). Haven't been over there for a while though so no guarantee the pub is still there. Things move fast in Maryhill.

There's also the Woodside Inn farther down toward the city centre. It's been there since the time of the Egyptians so a good second option if Munns has gone.

Pubs on Garscube Road/Maryhill Road...

Good luck there, brave troopers!

Cpt Rhodes

I've been reliably informed that Munns is still there and as far as I'm aware, is the closest to the venue.

I, Cosh

Given where it is, I'd recommend a brisk five minute stroll down to Great Western Road. There you can choose from The Liquid Ship, Captain's Rest, Junkyard Dog (or whatever it's called these days), The Lansdowne and so on. Plus you're only a hop, skip and jump from the city centre or the west end.

Or there's always The Viking then on to grab a granny in Framptons.
We never really die.

The Halt Bar. All comic cons should be held there.

Tiplodocus

But your droids still need me to attend in my role as your executuive assistant don't you?  I can get you sandwiches, carry your heavy pencils and pens, give you rub downs, arrange whores and coke.  But I'd need to get a Comps Wrist Band.

Failing that; Yes to Pub. Not fussed on quality but closer to venue seems a good idea.  Because I'm sure there will be scalping opportunies (and not just because of the clientelle in the pubs).
Be excellent to each other. And party on!
