Batman's Superior Cousin

Jim, I appreciate that (I really do) but I still want a copy of #0 but will be unable to attend due to driving lessons. All I'm asking is this: Can someone get me a copy of this issue & I'll pay them back online (via PayPal).

First, I think it bears repeating that: Strip is aimed at 8-10 year olds. This is not to say that it talks down to its target audience, but it is not aimed at middle-aged comic fans.

Aha, so more high brow than CLiNT then, eh?

If's it's trying for a similar target audience as the prog was initially aimed the along as it's entertaining solid storytelling & solid art then Stevie can't forsee any hurdles to his probable enjoyment.

Surely that's why it's called "Strip" in the first place ie. to be slightly provocative and dangerous?

I had an idea once to do a fanzine called 'STRIP SEARCH' for new and upcoming creators...... never did get round to it though.. good name for a magazine though.

OK, I think it's probably best to manage some expectations here...

First, I think it bears repeating that: Strip is aimed at 8-10 year olds. This is not to say that it talks down to its target audience, but it is not aimed at middle-aged comic fans.

Second, #0 will not contain much in the way of actual, err, strip. I've seen a rough and it's essentially a rundown of the upcoming series, with a teaser/synopsis and some sample art. You'll get a good idea of what's going to be in the comic proper -- and that should be enough to get some of you quite enthused -- but what you won't get are any complete strips.

Thought it was probably a good idea to make that clear ahead of time.

Will a downloadable version be available? As it doesn't have complete strips it might be enough for some people to just check it out and see they aren't missing anything from a physical copy.

I'm aware that a Google search turns up magazines about the other kind of Strip, and I know John is, too. I suspect a more robust web-presence for the comic may change that

It should do - the page rank is influenced by incoming links and these will go up once the comic gets going. That said it is #3 in the results (along with 6 of the 10 being about it) which isn't shabby and they are always going to get some other NSFW links sneaking in no matter where in the rankings you are (as the others are about striptease it isn't a real problem - you can spot the right link, which is above the "fold" and it isn't Scooby Doo porn or anything).
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
