I'm a big fan of the multi part arc style of epic. The first summer epic when I felt things got bogged down was Necropolis. Before that they felt episodic and I liked that.

What an excellent first page too. I nearly went into insane giggling reading it in a coffee shop. Brilliantly clever wit. What an opener. It's not possible to go on too much about it without overexposing it as John Wagner makes you completely aware of. But boy, was it funny and insane!?
