The art for the poster was by Dave Stokes an incredibly talented artist who can be found on twitter as @davestokes and whose blog can be found at http://stokesbook.blogspot.com/

The Colours and Poster design were by Robert Parham who can be found as @misterparham on twitter and has a blog at the following address http://www.robertfp.blogspot.com/

Why isn't Dredd arresting those vigilantes, deviants and muties?
The Justice department has a good re-education programme-it's called five to ten in the cubes.

I know tons of artists who'd want a free table - none of them professionals though. Most of them weird with long hair and curious ideas.

Re the professional thing - The majority of guests at the first Demoncon weren't professional artists, but the day was still a success. The guys that put together the poster aren't professionals but it still looks good in my opinion. As long as they can sketch to a decent standard at a reasonable speed, they're more than welcome to give it a go. Get them to get in touch with me.

Grinning Demon - You should really be aware that before using copyrighted characters in a poster of this sort it's good form to ask the publisher's permission first. Marvel and DC may not be too happy to see their characters used like this (DC in particular doesn't like its characters to appear alongside other properties, so I expect would've refused to allow Batman to be used).

Even if we give permission for usage of Dredd, we'd want a copyright line to run somewhere.

And stay away from open windows, it just makes it easier for the hotshots to find their mark.

all as stated on the blog, except Cy Dethan is now confirmed.

COMMANDO FORCES

Looks like an after con grub session is on the cards, so I better tell the missus not to cook me any dinner that day  :D

COMMANDO FORCES

I'm up nice and early and watching The Mist before I pop along to this. I'll have a full report later with pictures and sketches, especially some Manga Dredd sketches  :D

Mangamax

Afraid i'm not going to be there John - have had one of my team quit, so have no choice but do a 10-6 shift.
Nice - one Projectionist down with only two weeks to go to Twiglet: Breaking Wind...
The perspective on that chairs all wrong

COMMANDO FORCES

That's a bit of a bugger, still think of the money. I'm just walking down there now, 7 mins house to con, brilliant.

COMMANDO FORCES

Had a great time 6 sketches on me, 1 in a sketchbook that's been taken away to have another added to and another one been done in the artists own time (9 in total). 1 page of original art. 7 books bought. Not a bad haul all told!

Full report to come along with pics (except those 3 missing sketches  :'()

Although fewer visitors through the door, the day was a complete success. Loved the Dredd piece that Marc Laming drew for you & your Chibi Dredd.
Top spots of the day for me were my original page of American Century, sons Spyro sketch by Sonia Leong and my Cosmic Boy by Dave Stokes
