The trailer for Norwegian Ninja looks good, but in reality the film is about 90 minutes too long

Trollhunter on the other hand - can't wait!

I still haven't seen it yet, but I got it in Fopp yesterday for three quid. Except a fuller review in about three months once I actually get round to watching it.

[spoiler]It is listed as an action comedy - there is a little bit of the former and very little of the latter. It just about managed to hold my attention for the thankfully short running time (77 minute, it might be one of the best aspects of this flick). I like ninjas, 80s action movies, pastiches of 80s films, Dead Snow (same producers) and Troll Hunter (in fact, I love that one), I just couldn't find it in my heart to like this.

I certainly couldn't recommend this to anyone unless they were Norwegian as they'd presumably get a kick out of the set-up (it is supposed to tell the secret history of a real-life case, a bit like a film showing that Thatcher and Scargill were really friends and their 80s conflict was misdirection while they dealt with an alien invasion*) and they'd be in a country far enough away that you couldn't come around to Chez Emps and punch me in the face (so no recommendations to Norwegian expats either), although they should really just go and punch whoever dropped the ball as the trailer was great, it is just the trailer contains all the best bits - so save time and watch that.

* Quick someone get Meryl Streep back in that wig[/spoiler]
