I'd think you'd be far better getting a slim one and a PS2 for 20/30 quid from ebay. I'd offer you mine (original PS3) but it doesn't work anymore, won't read discs and the fan's louder than my car. There was a rumour going about that the newer slimline ones would be backwards compatible, but that may be just a rumour.
