Having a hard time believing it.

I also don't see why Rebellion would work with Morrison whilst the Zenith issue is unresolved.

Hmm Morrison has done some stuff for Rebellion though, including a rather nice short one-off Zenith episode a few years back for an anniversary prog.

As far as I'm aware, the 'legal issues' center around Morrison wanting the rights to Zenith, even though it was work-for-hire at Fleetway. Ironic, considering his attitude towards Siegel and Shuster and their lawsuits against DC over the rights to Superman. Anyway, if Rebellion gave Morrison the rights, then they might be opening the door to everyone else claiming rights to characters like Slaine, Halo Jones, Judge Dredd and everyone else.

Though it might be some other legal issue, of course! I'm just pretending like I know what I'm talking about :D

Forget the blue skin, what about the eyes? we already have enough actors faffing on about there faces being shown take the Dredd helmet debacle for instance, will any actor work with white eyes?

Halle Berry in X-Men.

Halle Berry stripped to the waist and painted blue? Good call

Venus Bluegenes eh? Woof
You ever notice that everyone who believes in creationism looks really unevolved? Eyes real close together, big furry hands and feet. "I believe God created me in one day." Yeah, looks like he rushed it.

Has anyone mentioned Dr Manhattan yet ? They did a pretty good job on him I thought, and he had the white eyes too. If there was a way to make Rogue slightly less 'glowy'... actually, thinking about it, wouldn't the general, non-scrot public think Rogue was just a Doc Manhattan knock-off, unless they made his appearnace slightly different somehow?

I remember reading somewhere - ages ago - that if there were ever a Rogue movie, they would have to make him grey rather than blue, as having a guy painted blue wouldn't work on screen for various reasons. But then, this was the days before digital grading and advanced cgi so who knows?

As for the eyes, surely white contact lenses would be the way to go, still show the actor's eyes, but have that weird, ghostly white pupil effect like Marilyn Manson has on one of his eyes?

They wouldn't be too far from the mark, just the wrong way round :D

I would have no objection to rogue being grey- i quite like the idea that he's human, but not quite, like a black and white representation of a person, dealing in the absolutes of war, etc etc, strokey beard strokey beard. I never understood why they made a soldier fighting on the muddy landscape of nu earth blue in the first place. Surely that's appalling camo?

The Films Producers will probably turn Rogue's Blue skin into a Chameleon type of combat weapon. A blue skinned soldier traversing a Hell hole future War is certainly not going to stick out like a sore thumb is he? So the Rogue Trooper you see in the Film [if it gets made] will be influenced by the Strip but not bound by it.

Rogue will probably have Body armour similar to Karl Urban's Dredd so no he manly pecs on show.

When he's not using his camouflage ability he'll be a nondescript grey or any other colour like an unfinished character in a video game similar to the backgrounds in Judge Minty.  Olive Drab was the colour I used to try and paint my Tamiya kits when I was a wee brat so it might be an Olive Drab Rogue Trooper. Well it's lot less obvious to a Nort sniper than blue.  :)

He's got to be blue, surely? It's like making the Hulk orange or the Smurfs red. You just can't do it.

An easy way round it would be to have Nu-Earth, which is after all an alien world, predominantly blue in hue. Then it would make sense to colour the GIs to blend in.

There are those who suspect Rogue might not be all present and correct. Which should make it easier.
Not sure if pervert or cheesecake expert.

Plenty of quartz is blue. Can't see the issue myself.

A potential Rogue movie would - I assume - not have the budget to do a fancy mo-capped cgi character like Doc Manhattan in Watchmen.

ISTR the argument against making Rogue blue in a live action film was that the inside of a person's mouth, the area around their eyes etc are all pink, which would clash with the blue and look silly on screen. Though as I said, that was before digital colour grading took off, so I imagine that it would be feasible these days.

Is it so important? The comics are almost all B&W remember! And isn't The Hulk often grey as well as green?

Yes, I know that in recent years the Hulk has been every colour in a bag of Skittles but I can't imagine a film version of the Hulk being anything but green.

I just think that Rogue is blue and I don't see any reason to change that. Or at least I hope they don't change it.
