QuoteThe most expensive show on television uses Nerf guns as props

You know that incredibly expensive show about time travel and dinosaurs, Terra Nova? Well turns out their super huge budget didn't leave much wiggle room for props. The keen eyed Redditor Drahos spotted this hilarious mishap:

Looks like they burnt all their money on dinosaurs and eyeliner for the sixers. The leftover money was spent spray painting these $40 Nerf guns. Oof.

In all seriousness, I think that might actually be the most awesome thing about the show.  And now I have to watch the next episode to check this out for myself.

Mardroid

I actually quite like that gun design.

Mudcrab

I was holding out on this one but this week's episode really hit a low. To everyone that's abandoned it already, you made the right choice. But hey, it's got a
Mystery Box
plot thread now, I don't think I can stop now  ::)

I also decided that it's target audience is pretty young (way younger than say, Falling Skies), possibly so young that they'd be in bed before it airs. So it helps if you view it in terms of the A-Team, but without Murdoch and B.A.
NEGOTIATION'S OVER!

i lost interest after the bird episode

MIKE COLLINS

Utterly utterly dull. It has dinosaurs and it spends its time with touchy-feely cute family dramas. Failure on so many levels.....

How could it have missed the mark so badly? Damn, why didn't they just option 'Flesh'??

COMMANDO FORCES

My will to live died in the middle of episode 4. I wonder how this has gone down in the global market?

von Boom

I'm surprised this feckless shitload is still on.

Then it wouldn't be their show, it would be an adaptation of something else that would forever be credited with all the smart ideas and the adaptation would always be nitpicked for what it changed and got wrong.  Producers have to be seen to be the driving force behind a show, and Braga especially has a history of monkeying around with elements of no-brainers until they've been what is scientifically referred to as "fucked good and proper right in the arse".

With Terra Nova, I notice that the premise comes from a detailed outline from British writer Kelly Marcel, making the chances of the producers not knowing what 2000ad is quite slim, I would imagine.

It's a bit too confused for its own good! An opportunity wasted I keep watching it with the forlorn (so far) hope that it will improve..help..............mmm..........eeeeeeeeeee!

I have many episodes to watch on the V+ but am really struggling to be arsed to watch it.
It certainly has reignited speilberg's spark for the Jurrassic park franchise.

Seeing as no one is watching this.
RTE blog on Terra Nova and the writer suggests Speilberg should pick up 2000ad and look at Flesh.
Flesh would make a great show if the budget is there to do it. The premise is brilliant.
