:o Sylvester Stallone? That's a bit strange. Too bad James Coburn isn't around to do one.

Also Colin_YNWA, Garth said the new war comics he's doing were in the same vein as War Stories and Battlesfields so I'm guessing it's WWII related - though I would like to see him to do other wars.

There will be another Jonathan Hickman ongoing series launched in 2012, from Image Comics in April  - Secret. It sounds like a modern day spy series. Ryan Bodenheim is on art duties for the first issue.

The new Blacksad book has just been solicited, so add that to my list. Also, Matt Kindt's new Mind MGMT series has just been solicited as well. Really looking forward to both of those.

In relation to the small press comics thread, have you heard of one called Harker?

http://www.arielpress.com/index.html

The collection of the first six has been picked by Titan Books and is due for release in June (well, depending if Titan get sorted with their releases).

Dark Horse will release a compilation of Richard Corben's stories from Creepy and Eerie, like the one they did for Bernie Wrightson.

I had never heard of Harker...just read the preview. Nice stuff. Does the whole thing have that kind of tone? Do you think the collections will be released in North America?

Well Titan Books are featured in the Preview catalogue so I hold keep an eye on that, Evil Pants - if you are going to get it, just beware about Titan books recent problems with books missing release dates.

Ok...thanks. I'll see if my shop here in Canada can get it. Oh, and that DH Corben Eerie book looks great too.

The first issue of Jonathan Hickman's Manhattan Projects dropped today. Really interesting read, with twists I wasn't really expecting at all. This is added to my trade pull list for sure.

The Adventurer

Oh my goodness, The Manhattan Projects #1 was EXCEPTIONAL. I think 2000 AD fans would be right at home with it. Its a bit Indigo Primey.

Man, I can't wait for SAGA next week. Between SAGA, MP, and Prophet; Image is seriously upping their Science Fiction game in a big way.

Definitely looking forward to Saga next week, but looking forward to Secret History Of DB Cooper almost as much.

It has got consistently good reviews and recommendations on the FP blog:

if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

The good news is Rat Pack has a new cover showing on Amazon so maybe this will actually come out this year? Its the first progress I've seen on this title for a couple of years!
