Re: Punk Rock Jesus - Sean Murphy is toying with idea of keeping the single issues in black & white and releasing the collection in colour.

Brandon Graham was showing the pages on his new Multiple Warheads series due for release this year:

I think colour would ruin it now.
You ain't  kidding. That line art is GEORGEOUS. Color will only get in the way.

Glad I'm getting the singles now.

Graham is returning to Multiple Warheads? Fantastic! The chunk of it he made available for free on his site was great. Almost as good as King City.
Check out my new comic Supermom: Expecting Trouble and see how a pregnant superhero tries to deal with the fact that the baby's father is her archnemesis. Free preview pack including 12 pages of art: http://www.mediafire.com/file/57986rnlgk0itfz/Supermom_Preview_Pack.pdf/file

Strange - no seems to have mentioned in this thread Happy, Grant Morrison's series from Image Comics....it sounds like a crime/noir/The Filth mix.

I wasn't even aware this existed until a couple of weeks ago but I've been reading about Doug Wildey's 'Rio'

The fact that it sounds like a cheap way to get hold of an copy of one of IDW's artist's editions, its nearly all reproduced from the original art and barely tampered with and sounds like a winning western means I'm very excited about this now I've ordered it. It looks like its bloody glorious and 250 odd pages for about £26 if you shop. Can't wait.

I make no apology for the double post as this has arrived and its absolutely stunning, I mean really. The black and white pages at the beginning in particular are exquisite. The unfinished pages at the end a fascinating insight into the artist process and all in all a simply beautiful package. I've not read a single word of it but already I'm so glad I spend the £26 on it I did. Highly recommended.

The only problem is its left me hankering after its vastly more expensive cousin the $130 Daredevil Born Again Artist Edition, but at that price I'll just have to be satisfied with finding this gem.

Now if we could just get a Blueberry artists edition I might find a better looking Western...

Well Rat Pack has finally come out too, as far as I'm aware that's all the titles I've seen and have been waiting on. I hope these Battle releases are a success as now Titan are finally getting them out with a bit of momentum I'm hoping to see more. I know Johnny Red is getting a third volume in 2013 and of course Charley's War is nearing its end but lets see more.

As for Rat Pack it looks great (not read it yet) and has a host of 2000ad alumni including some Bellardinelli work that looks great (and ACE Trucking aside I'm not normally his biggest fan, certainly on this type of strip) and Mike White.

Emperor gave me the go ahead to launch this, so maybe it's something that we could keep going throughout the year as new announcements come up, or maybe to report if something met/fell short of expectations.

So anybody want to come back on this? Time to launch a 2013 version of this thread too, even if I slacked off on this the last few months.  :-[

I will have to look back over my posts in this thread, but I remember mentioning a lot of books from Archaia Studio Press - they never turned up because that company nearly went under. I think they are still scheduled for release sometime, maybe.

The year ain't over yet; we still have Grandeville Bete Noir to look forward to
An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!

The solicitations for the Punk Rock Jesus collection say black & white.
