Kurt Fuller as Woody is the best!
The Hangover episode was fantastic and he made it!

And it's been renewed for Season Seven as well. Yay!

Which means I'll be able to actually see that in something like 2020. Boo.

Satanist

Watched the pilot of this last night due to this thread, erm its all a bit Diagnosis Murder eh? By which I mean its inoffensive and I can imagine this on during the day when people should really be at work.

I dont like to judge on a pilot though so will try a few more before I give up.

The wife quite enjoyed it mind.
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Proper Dave

Remember that a pilot is a pilot, and an entire first series can be a matter of finding the feet.

Fortunately, there's nothing you need to know that'd prevent you from jumping into Season Two, where it seriously starts to let rip.

Started watching this too, impressed so far. It is inoffensive for sure but nothing wrong with that.

As Dave said, the first season is played a bit conventionally and cautiously, as it was all new and they were only finding their feet. Once you get to season 2 and 3, when the cast have learned each others ticks and gained confidence in each oter, it really takes off. Gems such as the Friday the 13th episode shouldnt be missed.

And it was, precisely, when I realised that Roday even knew about the movie April The 1st, that I fell completely, irrevocably and obsessively in love with him

Ah, here it is...

Just finished season 3, totally hooked on it now! Friday the 13th one was great and the start to finish links were all very clever, right down to the identity of the serial killer  :)

It became a classic in my eyes when Gus said "And that's what bothers me, why do you say "I could care less", when in fact you mean, you couldn't care less?" Thankyou! Been pissing me off in American TV/Films for ages that one!

Shawn's Mum was a nice surprise, especially in an episode about Gus having 2 jobs  :D

As for Gus's Mum, was she in the Cosby Show?

Season 4 on the way, can't wait for the Twin Peaks episode, big fan of that.

Professor Bear

Been catching up with this, and it's good fun for the most part, though occasionally frustrating when Gus is playing too straight and Shawn comes off as deeply unlikable in contrast - when Gus said "don't make me slap you, Shawn", I rather hoped he would, but fuck me, the existence of The Mentalist sure is handy for the makers of Sherlock, isn't it?  Mentalist gets all the stick for lifting Psych's premise while Sherlock gets away with lifting the show wholesale and transplanting it to London.

And is it just me or is Ernie Hudsen now required by law or something to play the dad of every black character on television?  If this is the case, the man is officially awesome.

Just have to say, the most recent episode to air in the States is probably the best episode of the whole entire season, for me anyway. They riff on The Shining, Rosemary's Baby, Poltergeist and Ghostbusters, the supporting cast includes Louis Gosset Jr, William Shatner and Kurt Fuller, and its absolutely brilliant. Check out the teaser. If you have any way of getting your hands on this, I highly recommend you do so! :)
