Gulp,  :-\
While those binds do look well done, i just couldnt have it done to any of my comics.
I take it once theyve been binded, you cant un-bind them?

Mattofthespurs

They can be unbound. Mine are sewn so the only damage is about thirty tiny holes down the side of the comic.

It sounded like a daft idea when I first read your post but those pics look great. Instant hardback collection. That website isn't easiest to get around. I guess you have to email them for quotes etc. ?

Mattofthespurs

Yes, you email or phone them and they will give you a price. Because the service is completely bespoke I imagine that is why they do not list prices.
For the economy bind, which is what mine are, they are £17 each. Carriage back to you is £11 regardless of how many you have ordered (1 or 10 for instance, or so it seems at least).
The four I have just had done came to £83 in total including postage back to me (but not postage to them) so I would estimate that each volume is a total of £24.

It really is a joy to have a shelf full of comics which I can dip into without having to find the box, unbag, read and then bag back up again and of course books on shelves take up less space than boxes of comics.

I now have 15 volumes of Batman with, I estimate, another 30 to go. After that I'm going to start doing Superman in order from John Byrne's Man of Steel mini series (1986) onwards in red buckram.

Nice one Mattofthespurs is tempting me also. How many issues in each volume for 17 quid I guess that alters the price?

You can do up to 2 and a half inches thick. Most of my binds are around 25 issues although I have done some that are 40 issues big. How big or small does not affect that cost at all. That's with H&M, I don't know about other book binders.
