2000 AD's 2012 North America schedule announced!

As it celebrates three and a half decades of some of the greatest comics of all time, 2000 AD is unleashing a flurry of top-notch thrills in graphic novel form into North America this year.

The Galaxy's Greatest Comic has lined up a sizzling schedule of new releases, collecting classic and new strips alike in the year its biggest export, Judge Dredd, heads for the big screen with Karl Urban as the Lawman of the Future in Dredd.

It's shaping up to be an epic year for US releases from the seminal British title, with work from writers such as Grant Morrison, Mark Millar, John Wagner, Pat Mills and Ian Edginton, and artwork from Brian Bolland, Chris Weston, Steve Dillon, Dave Gibbons, D'Israeli and many more!

This month, the Celtic barbarian Sláine returns with the first volume in one of the most breathtaking fantasy series ever. Presumably that's Cry of the Werewolf and its sequel, Out of the Undercity. Struggling to think of what the other two could be - the wording makes it sound like they might be non-Dredd but still Dreddworld-set stories...

The wording there though might suggest they aren't all Undercity stories but the theme is werewolves: "Plus three other Dredd-verse werewolf stories." However, other non-Undercity Dredd werewolf stories currently elude me.

Which has a slightly different cover to the S&S site which might give the clues to the stories:

I send *all* our US press releases to around 40 comics blogs and websites, but usually CBR and Broken Frontier are the only ones who use them. Heidi has been promising to do more on 2000 AD, to be fair, and we're planning on doing some previews soon.
