Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

I hope it's nothing like the 3rd installment
loveforstitch - Does he fall in love? I like a little romance in all my movies.

Rekaert - Yes, he demonstrates it with bullets, punches and sentencing.

He's Mega City 1's own Don Juan.

Third one :o ?  That means there was also a second one... when did this happen, as the Highlander tagline goes, "there can be only one", and that includes Starship Troopers movie adaptations, that trailer does look nice though...!?

2 was absolute poop but i kinda liked number 3, at least they tried hard with the satire like the first movie and had some interesting idea's (the religious angle) and mechs! but ultimatly it was made with like a $500 budget and there was no way it wass gonna look or sound any good.
That was a bit of a teaser and not much to go on but fromj what i understand this is being run as a direct sequal to the Verhoven movie and ignore 2 & 3.

Apparently ST3 was filmed in South Africa on a budget of $30-40m.

Hope DREDD looks a damn sight better than that pile of shite. I caught a few minutes of it on Channel 5 the other day but couldn't take much more than that.

I liked 3. It was certainly better than the unimaginable pile of poop of the 2nd.

$30-40m my ringpiece.

If it cost any more than $10m I'll eat yours.

$20m according to Wikipedia. Still, you'd think it would've looked better, considering that pretty much all of their costumes and props were already built and paid for.

Come to think of it, I've seen those damned Mobile Infantry costumes reused in so many things over the years (most notably Firefly) it's actually quite distracting.

James Stacey

Wouldn't they need to make new ones though ? All the ST armour was modified and reused in Firefly wasn't it ?

I never saw the second installment after seeing the 3rd i'll be giving it a miss

The second one may as well be an alien horror story and scrub the Starship Trooper name from is as it was a pile of plop. Also the Flag ship captain in ST1 was the Sergent in ST2 (Brenda Strong). Pretty poor casting if you ask me.

Looks like the (rather fabulous) CG Starship Troopers spin-off series that I used to watch before school. A great series that sensitively developed the universe to the point of introducing another sentient race - DAbnett's VCs series always seemed to me to have borrowed plenty of ideas from it.

Probably - The Skinnies were from the original book. The TV series was rather good IIRC, and wasn't afraid to get rid of characters :)

I don't even think the armor was modified at all!
