Just found an old video tape in the garage of this and it brought back a lot of memories from years gone by...

That's my afternoon sorted!
An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!

Zarjazzer

Super memories of this. Cheers.
The Justice department has a good re-education programme-it's called five to ten in the cubes.

Battle of the Planets. That was ace.
Also called Eagle riders and gatchman in other countries I think.

Peace is a lie, there's only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

Awesome cartoon from back in the day, didn't they cut out lot's of violence from the uk version?
loveforstitch - Does he fall in love? I like a little romance in all my movies.

Rekaert - Yes, he demonstrates it with bullets, punches and sentencing.

He's Mega City 1's own Don Juan.

I watched some 'Eagle Riders' a few years ago and didn't recognise much of it. It seemed like a totally different programme. Although There was a considerable gap since watching Battle of the planets as a kid.

I certainly remember when this appeared because it was like nothing else I'd ever seen. I didn't peg it as Japanese back then (cos they all had American accents - d'oh!) and I couldn't put my finger on what was different about the animation, but the way things looked and the way they moved was so different from any other cartoon I'd seen. I'd forgotten about 7-zark-bloody-7 though!

Very fond memories of that...
Equally fond memories of 'Battle of the Planets' bars...probably a high proportion of the reason I got two molars pulled out in my teens!

JOE SOAP

If they still sold 'em I'd be still eatin' 'em.

Link Prime

As would I Joe, probably liquidised and through a straw mind
