Kindle introduced Kindle Active Content which allows some scrpting with an eBook:

This has been jumped on by the chose-your-own-adventure publishers and the first Fighting Fantasy book is already out:

It struck me that Dice Man would be perfect for this type of treatment too.

The Kindle Development Kit is in closed beta:

I've signed up for this but not received anything from them.

Actually searching the forum for anything similar I turned up the Dredd gamebook:

if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Never mind Kindle I would dearly love a collected Diceman.

and funnily enough I recently bought a few FF books and have been playing them with my son and am just  about to embark on the Sorcery adventure

Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Hmmm. Is this available in the UK? I've been trying to buy one of these books but the US site is saying "pricing information not available" and redirecting me to Amazon UK for all Kindle content.

Can anyone advise me?

Didn't someone just get the license for interactive Dredd ebooks?

As it stands it is currently on available at the US Amazon site, which means anyone with a Kindle registered to the UK one can't buy it. I don't know if this is because they haven't got around to putting it out here or it relies on an update to active content we haven't had, but I'd guess the former. There might be an address over on fightingfantasy.com you can use to fire a question off to them - after all it was British and you'd think the fanbase would be here.

See the last link in my first post.

I know they wanted to lead with something original, but the Dice Man art is all done and the game just needs conversion, so should be fairly easy to do. Plus it has some big name artists involved (Bryan Talbot, Steve Dillon, Kevin O'Neill, etc.) who could help to shift a few units.

Thanks, Emperor. I think I'll wait for it to come out in the UK. I'm not faffing around with my Kindle now that I've got it linked to my account.
