Uh. That's not just close, that's the same image. So - did Edmund trace from a stock photo that the film-makers have used - or did the film-makers nick the poses...exactly?

Seems the most likely cos there's no way anyone would try and match the exact creases and hoodies.

Would be a remarkable display of photographic ability to recreate the clothing folds quite so precisely.

I reckon stock photo with some monster faces photoshopped in.

So they've used Edmund Bagwell's stock then?!

http://2000adcovers.blogspot.co.uk/2010/11/edmund-bagwell-goodie-in-hoodie.html Shows his reference image, which is the same as the image used in the poster.

If I'm interpreting that right, it looks Bagwell arranged the poses himself by cutting together multiple reference pics, and it's that group pose that the poster-makers have directly nicked.  (Interesting and quite possibly relevant fact: a Google image search for "creepy hoodies" will bring up Pete's covers blog as the very first suitable image on page one of teh search.)

Yep, this is the one on Pete's blog:

Given that Bagwell offered multiple compositions to Tharg, this must be a steal?

Someone in the comments at SFX links an album cover that also uses the same image.

I saw this and thought that a film had been rushed out of the strip until I saw the masks!

Someone should get a wiggle on and make the Cradlegrave film!!
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

I love Bagwell's art but I would love a Cradlegrave film, on account I think it would work better in a movie format.

Blimey! The little buggers!

And 2000AD Covers Uncovered saved the day as it made it perfectly clear that Baggers' cover was an original composition. Then again, if that blog post had never existed, they'd not have been able to lift the mock-up they used... Hmmmm.... ;)

I've not really checked 'cos I've been pretending to work, but is it a really low budget movie or something? That image is pretty dreadfully thrown together, and I'd imagine a more professional outfit would at least vet their sources.
