Ach that's brilliant!  I'd love to know the story behind that one - if it really was Igor poking fun at himself, he should have employed that considerable wit elsewhere!

Am I the only person who liked The Clown then?

Yes you are Igor, I mean Colin.

Well it's our well deserved staff day out to the local Girls' school today so to keep you occupied in our absence we present :

The excellent resource Barney lists all 2000ad contributors and rather than waste time on artists or writers let's have a look at the Command Module droids who made the grade. We've hardly heard of these people either but we're scraping the barrel here, and it does give a good insight that getting on the letters page is a sure fire way to securing a minimum wage* gig at the Command Module.

*Actual wages may be less

First up we have Barney Shergold who first presented in Prog 929 and secured 5 Beast entries before being pressganged into Tharg's service. Here is his initial offering :

Next up is Colin Campbell who managed the mean feat of 2 letters and two drawings between Progs 138 and 336. We've no idea what Colin does in the Command Module but we're guessing it's not design. His effort from Prog 304 attests...

He did however get a software update for this effort from Prog 336 :

Next up is Tim Jones of Watford who found his way into the Nerve Centre after this offering from Prog 1026 :

We finish this indepth profile of the Command Module droids with our own Wakefield Carter who came to Tharg's attention with this Prog 1118 missive :

No. 3922 Kev F Sutherland (before the 'F') Prog 123

Despite drawing 'The Bash St Kids' for many years this Nerve Centre appearance was the highlight of his life right up until the moment he nearly sold a Dr Who t-shirt to the hard to please Commando Forces.

By the look of the two at the back I suspect its more like a meeting regarding the transfer of the City-Def from (ex) Pete Wells Block to the Gavnin Lehy Beardies Block............

No. 325 David Baillie Prog 1496

David had his 12th Future Shock published in this week's Prog 1788. That makes it 12 Future Shocks and this letter in the Prog. Going by this week's effort he shot his bolt early ! (Joking!)
