I was pleased to see Dredd got mentioned in the Belfast Telegraph today. I say 'mentioned' and not 'reviewed', because it's a local paper and it's just a perfunctory summary of the plot with no opinion given, other than the 3 star rating (everything gets 3 stars in the Belly Telly). Honestly, some of you lads from the 'Last Movie Watched' Thread should see if you can get a fillum column in the Belly Telly.

I think there are a fair amount of people on here who would disagree with that.

I think this reviewer is of the "Shoulder-pads and flying cars are what Dredd is really about" school, which means he regards the Stallone movie as more of a fan-pleaser, which means he's notsomuch a fan as an idiot.

She does manage to walk a very fine line between unfeasibly sexy and utterly terrifying. It's a fantastic performance.

A tabloid newspaper reviews a movie and does so in such a fashion as to suggest the reviewer wasn;t paying attention? SURELY NOT!?

Movie reviews in the tabloid press = not even worth wasting time on. Don't even get me started on that issue.
