I'm hoping to round up a crack team of like-minded Norts to catch this in Manchester. Might wear my termight Dredd badge for this.

Crickey! pushing the boat out or what?!

I'll try and get a quiet pm showing, preferable with a beer in hand and sprogfree cinema
DDT did a job on me

Fisticuffs

Salisbury Odeon, assuming they're showing it. The generally dilapidated state of the place should be enough to bring that 3D up to a 4D presentation. :D

Cactus

Vue in Norwich on 7th September. I've got the day off work and my girlfriend has said she'll buy the tickets as a birthday present. It's more exciting than Christmas!
I'm a tucker hot seat trucker and I'm voking cheerio, ten-ten!

Stan

Toni Scandella

Probably in the Trafford Centre in Manchester, even though I don't really like the place, as it is round the corner from my house and has free parking.

Day of release.  I won't be able to wait.

dweezil2

The wife and I have booked the day off work so it'll be the first 3D showing at Cineworld Ashford Kent, on September 7th!
Can't bloody wait!  :D

Diminished Responsibility

Carlisle Vue, there will be a mob of us 40 somethings. First time we'll all be at a premiere showing since Starship troopers.
"DANGER! DO NOT TOUCH THESE MONSTROUSLY HAZARDOUS CITRUS FRUITS, MAN!"

DKCX

The Gate Cinema Mallow for me, 3 minutes away from the gaff.

Keef Monkey

Planning to take the day off work on release and catch it at least once, as I want to see it in 3D seeing as they've made such a big deal about the 3D effects, but want to see it first in 2D because, well, non-IMAX 3D is mince and I don't want it ruining my first viewing.

Anyone know what the chances of an IMAX screening are? That would be ideal.

Booking the day off and watching back-to-back showings is a great idea.  I'm in Cardiff - would most likely be going to Odeon down the Bay, or Cineworld opposite the Arena.  Who's with me?!?

Reckon I'll probably go to a 2D screening in Glasgow on a quiet Tuesday or Thursday evening two or three weeks after it comes out.

I'm up for that

Me 3 and then the pub to rave/bitch about it.
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Opening night, Stockholm, Sweden - Rigoletto 1 front balcony wearing my shiny pro 3D glasses and Judge badge.

Oh, and WOOT!
Yes, Stockholm it will be! But since that won't be until the Swedish opening the 21 sept and I will be on holiday in Spain the 7 sept I will try to catch it in any cinema near Alicante, just have to find out where!

I've already agreed with my better half that I will see Dredd with the Southern Contingent as soon as it's released and then with her. This will be the first film that I will see twice in a cinema.

It's listed on the Odeon website http://www.odeon.co.uk/fanatic/film_info/m13981/Dredd though no info yet regarding whether it's going to be at the IMAX cinema (which is out of the way in Uxbridge. I don't know anything at all about IMAX). It would be good to see it in central London for the atmosphere I reckon.

Either FilmWorks in Manchester or my local view in Blackburn depending on which has the earliest and first showing.

Come over to the Filmworks,we'll try to get a gang together. Last time I saw a film in Blackburn, I think it was the Spy Who Loved Me at Unit 4 - is that still open, or is there just that soulless megaplex near the ice rink? I have fond memories of Unit 4 - Me and a mate once snuck in the fire exit when we were 11 and watched about 15 minutes of 'confessions of a something or other' - we got to see actual boobies before we were chased out - that was big deal for a kid in the 70s!

There's A BFI Imax near Waterloo. I haven't seen any listings of Dredd yet, but it's still quite early days.
