Fascinating that he mentions contemporary music. There are some songs from TotP of the late 70s/early 80s that instantly transport my brain to a specific story, for some reason of obscure neural connections that I can't fathom. Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive", for instance, pushes the recollection of the McMahon episodes towards the end of "The Rise and Fall of Ro-Jaws and Hammerstein" straight to the front of my mind. Not just the story, but the actual feeling of reading it when I was ten.

Very strange...

I was gutted when I missed his exhibition in February. I've done so much work for a company over the years that is one minute walk from the gallery he was exhibiting in. I had that in my diary from last year. But I was working nearby on the last day of the exhibition, a mad day so I couldn't even pop out at lunchtime to see it. Needless to say, after working late I managed to see it through closed doors. Bah.
