You know the music from the trailer, the bit at the end where he shoves someone through glass, is that on the soundtrack anywhere?

radiator

I think that's from the Laroux remix, so no.

No, that's a piece of library music. I've also heard it used on a trailer for a computer game since.

Amazon list the CD for October 9th
so  9/10/12
not 10/9/12
I suspect someome at Soundcloud was confused by uk/us day/month order.

There's also the background music.

From wikipedia

"The film also features songs by other artists, including: "Poison Lips" by Vitalic; "Dubstride" by Yann McCullough and Gemma Kicks; "Snuffbox" by Matt Berry; "Pontiac Moon" by Robert J. Walsh; and "Jubilee (Don't Let Nobody Turn You Around)" by Bobby Womack"

Poison Lips is the 'I Feel Love' ish track in the slo-mo den.

Third Estate Ned

That is, Snuff Box the intro theme to Matt Berry's sketch show of the same title?

How does that fit in?

Actually, scratch that, and apologies for the double post - the Youtube comments answer that question:

Autoduck says: "Ma ma's computer hacker
with artificial eyes
has it on as background music. You hear it twice throughout the film."

I've not seen the film but just in case I've spoilered that.

Danbo

Bought it yesterday, great stuff on there.

Was hoping this would be out sooner, I work in audio* and after seeing the film I know if I could circulate a CD of the score round the music department it would get a few more tickets sold! It's a great score and no mistake.

*On mentioning the film it turns out my boss worked on the music for the Dredd arcade game, which is pretty freaking awesome.

I've been listening to this on a continuous loop in between going to see the film several times.  I have to say, the way the music ties in with the action is just brilliant.  I had trouble pinpointing the less exuberant tracks at first, but then it clicked, and I could place them all.  My fave of the less noisy ones is where Dredd is pacing the corridors, and everyone is locking their doors, putting the latches on, and eyeing him nervously through viewfinders as he stalks past. So moody!  Captures it perfectly!

I think my fave track of all is 'Bad Judges', just because it's such a great standalone piece of music.  Ok, it does conjure images of four Judges riding side by side, but even so it's just such a funky number.  I'd say 'Taking over Peach Trees' and 'Mini-Guns' come 2nd and 3rd respectively.  The whole album is great though!

I've been doing the same, still looping it from that free soundcloud stream while I wait for the CD release! It really is a fantastic score. The synths and programming give it a futuristic sound, but everything's driven really hard and distorting so it's like a really manky dirty used future. Perfect for the movie, you can really feel the stifling heat that you get from the city in the film when you listen to it.
