Hi, I am new to this board.  Have been reading it for awhile, but haven't posted.  I'm from the states, work in Audio Post Production in Los Angeles, California and have been a Dredd fan since I picked up a Fleetway/QC reprint of the Cursed Earth saga in the mid to late '80s.  I'm mostly caught up on the current progs and so far have really liked the community here.  Glad I can contribute some, and I hope that others like it.

Good to see you here, Aaron.  We've always got room for someone who does their homework on the prog, and it'll be interesting to get your professional opinion on the new film after the 21st of next month. Not as portable as I'd like... but maybe if I had some of the Angel Gang to help me...I'd get 16 months in the cubes for defacing public property.

I have a small post production audio house in LA.  We mainly do features, trailers and reality shows.  My partner is the music guy, while I stick with TV/film.  Planning on getting a nice framed prog 182 on the wall up at some point to go along with the 2000AD figurines on my console desk.

I think that it is a ballsy strategy.  JD has greater name recognition in the UK, and the more good word of mouth that comes out of the UK release will just bump up the street cred for the US release.  I think that the film will be a moderate success here, bolstered by a large cult following that'll make it super popular on DVD/Blu Ray.  With luck, that'll help stoke the demand for a sequel.  Crossing fingers.
