Originally written for Comicscape, I've put my little mention of the Great Darkness Saga up at my blog:

I totally forgot to tell you guys about the third part of my reread, but that's not important now, because the fourth part is up!  Go and enjoy!

Part five of my reread is up today.  Those of you with traumatic memories of "exciting news inside, chums!" mergers might get a kick out of my intemperate teenage reaction to the backward American equivalent, when the book split in two.

The Adventurer

Man, I don't know anything about aledged swiping. But I am in LOVE with what Giffen was doing artistically around this time and into the start of the Baxter run.

Well, then you're certain to love what Jose Munoz originally did before Giffen started tracing him even more.

I'm surprised you've never heard of it; this was one of the biggest scandals in American comics in the 1980s, and beached his rising popularity.  The TCJ article that outed him doesn't appear to be online, but you can find plenty of discussion by Googling "keith giffen jose munoz" - it's even part of Giffen's Wikipedia page.

Here's part six, wherein the Legion of Super-Villains forms and the book formally splits in two.  Heady stuff.

I haven't mentioned my LSH Reread in ages!  Well, I'm up to part 14 now, getting very close to the end of the run (that'll be pt 17), and we've got the mysterious supercriminal Starfinger, and a nasty conspiracy within the team itself.  It's pretty good stuff!
