I'm thinking he'd likely be even more of a cuntish jobs-worth.

In the context of the job, that is idealism.

I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of that.

RICO: What would you give old Booth?

DREDD: Sentence, you mean? A bullet between the eyes, that's what I'd give him.

RICO: Me too.  (from Origins)

Spikes

March? Not too long then, really. Guessing pre-order's available Jan time?
And caught that linked site googling Dredd Year One. Quite a few Forumites getting namechecked!

"2000 AD'S" MATT SMITH THRILL TEASES "DREDD: YEAR ONE," "BRASS SUN" & MORE

QuoteColin_YNWA was one of many readers who wondered, "When's 'Sinister Dexter' coming back?"

Next year, by Dan Abnett and John Burns. The start of a new arc for Ray and Finny -- as the gun-sharks are smuggled out of Downlode and into new lives -- called "Witless Protection."

John Burns! That's a TPO right there!

Spikes

And Year One to feature variant covers by 'Cerebus mastermind Dave Sim and Dredd co-creator Carlos Ezquerra'.
Though sight unseen, getting the Carlos variant is most likely a cert. But gulp, more covers!

vzzbux

Maybe a bit of Judge Morphy as he mentor's Dredd through that first year.

Peace is a lie, there's only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

I can't get over how fantastic that cover is.

To me, Greg Staples is one of the definitive Dredd artists, up there with McMahon, Kennedy, Bolland, Ezquerra and Flint.

I can't get over how fantastic that cover is.

It's the rain hitting the water on the road that stuns me. Such a seemingly small detail, but so hard to render convincingly...

I'm not sure what the division was between Greg and Ryan on the details, but it's a fantastic collaboration.

I see Simon Coleby listed as the artist for Judge Dredd Year One #1 according to the solicitations.

Ancient Otter

Sorry Joe Soap, I missed your post where you mentioned Simon as the artist...
