TBH, I despise Twitter. By its very nature, it encourages banality and actively cripples informed, well-reasoned discussion. OK, I get that that isn't what Twitter is for...

The trouble is no one seems to tell half the people who use it that's not the case. Half the things I read from twitter give me the impression that a lot of folk who use it believe you can do that in 140 characters...

mind it'd cut down on my typos!

Didnt Fonky finish him off, or was it SBT?

Anyone who thinks they can express something in less than one hundred and forty characters, clearly has absolutely no idea what they're on about. No idea whatsoever. No sir. Not at all. That's why I always pad out my posts with redundant redundancies.

Also, I'm starting to think Shark got too close to the truth and 'they' have spirited him away somewhere.
You may quote me on that.

Love Poem by Lemn Sissay...

You remind me
define me
incline me.

If you died I'd.

Pretty much expresses everything there is to say about love in just 48 characters.

though only one of these things has Ron Perlman on it doing his level best to utterly destroy any notion people have of him as a laconic toughie by posting things that make him cry.

He's an actor and he also starred in Beauty & the Beast playing a romantic man-lion - could it get anymore femme?

Obviously you haven't seen the current remake series of B&tB or you wouldn't ask.

In defence of Twitter, it is what you make it. If your Twitter feed is full of inane bullshit it's likely you're following the wrong people.

Had a brief glance through this, Can I really conclude that the Emperor has turned up elsewhere?

If so, that's top, top news.

Not so. My Twitter feed has lots of smart, funny people saying smart, funny, often thought-provoking things. What frustrates me is that when you try to engage with some comment or idea that is smart and/or thought-provoking, the limitations of the format immediately shut down all but the most shallow, cursory debate.

There's always twitlonger when you need to waffle.

I'm glad to hear Emperor has been thoroughly sherlock holmesd by you guys and that he is ok.  Hoping he returns soon but can understand that breaks are needed to enjoy the variety and colour of life.

I'm not very tech savvy and was introduced to twitter as a 'make your own newspaper' program rather than for socialising.  Eg following newspapers feeds, new scientist, ign and stuff like that as the character limit is ideal for a short description and link to an article.  But people just ended up making their own Suns and Heat magazines and as expected celebrities soon realised that people love hearing them talk .  Like all technology twitter is what you make of it.  That said I don't use twitter as my account was blocked due to being hacked by a russian viagra salesman.  Ah the t'internet

This is funny about kanye wests profound twitter statements but... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Axzxe1a78E x

Ah, so that's what Emperor is up to now - or should I say, the Tsar.

Judo

Yes and judging by the supposed strength and capabilities of said product I'm not surprised he doesn't have time for the forum.  You guys talking about twitter has made me finally get round to unblocking my account so if anyone has comics blogs or what not let me know and I'll try and read them now and then x

Edit: I have to edit a lot as my computer has a dodgy keyboard
