The Daily Mail writes an article about the love letters on auction written, and drawn, by Charles M. Schulz during a brief affair in the early 70s.

Which is all well and good as they are an existing piece of Sparky's art/writing. However it also mentions numerous strips where Sparky was "flaunting" the affair. Only one problem: only ONE of the strips (Snoopy making long distance phone calls) was real. The rest were taken from a satirical column written in the Washington Post!

I guess nobody thought to LOOK before using it as "evidence?"

I see comments are disabled on that article. Probably because they're tired of people pointing out how mistaken they were.

"Tabloids smear the truth with excrement"!

Who the f**k reads the Daily bogroll (mail). I've seen truer statements written on graffiti strewn walls! Truly an awful 'newspaper', that's more concerned about inciting fevered anger than it is in printing something relevant or true!
