Sorry to drag off-topic!

Loved Absalom. Soaked up the panels. Just gorgeous.

Staples' Death was a bit nice too.

Aquila was hitting a few interesting notes and Ampney too.

Good work all. An impressive year end package!

Right. Off back to agonise about which was the best cover of 2012...

Trying out digital from the next prog. Reckon it's going to be rather nice!

Anybody else think Edmund Bagwell's cover has shades of Massimo Belardinelli about it?
It's the face, particularly around the eyes.
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

Spikes

Still not had more than a sneaky peek at this since i bought it the other week.
Xmas morning read still on track.

Reading Savage again, I noticed that the interior of the café where Bill is working (called "Puccelli") is based on a real life café I visited a few years ago in Bethnal Green called Pellicci. Here's a link if you're interested.
It's a fantastic place to eat in if you're ever in the area and feeling peckish.
Virtually every day I pass through a spot at Old Street which appeared in Savage. Keep on meaning to take a photo to post alongside a scan of the relevant comic frame.

(An old episode that is.)

Apologies for double post.

That'd be really cool! I remember taking photo's of sights in Whitechapel/ Spitafield's which appeared in Alan Moore's From Hell, but like you never got round to uploading them with the corresponding panels. It'd be great if you can show us the pics somewhere down the line!

Yes it does. A great artist.

Here's a link to a great tribute piece Pat Mills did on Belardinelli around the time of his death;

Thanks for sharing this. I'm currently reading some early 2000AD and Belardinelli artwork on Dan Dare is truly astounding. The quality of his artwork in those early progs is far superior to the other artists IMHO

No my end if year disappointment has yet to be aired.
Mostly because I thought Prog 2013 wasn't very good that I've yet to get enthused enough to comment.
