Nice chunky interview with Nick Landau over at CBR, from our own cheerleader states side Karl. All good stuff, well aside from the fact he seems to talk about 2000ad in the past tense. Looking forward to these titles launching in April. I wonder how well they will do in the States but its good to see the talent involve and the apparent ambition of the project.

Was excited to see B movie pastiche It Came by Dan Boultwood. Great artist. Not sure how good his writing is as yet, but if it matches the quality of his visuals we're in for a treat!

There's an ordering form here, that you can print out and take to a comic shop for ordering this month's Titan comics on it. It has Numbercruncher, Death Sentence, Thrud, Razorjack, A1 and Tank Girl on it, among many other fine titles.

I like this because it reminds me of that baffling little postage stamped voucher thing they used to print in 2000ad or The Beano. You were supposed to hand it to your newsagent to reserve a copy. No one ever did it, ever. The thought of cutting up your progs? Madness.

Also - a highly entertaining review of Death Sentence on Popmatters for anyone wondering what it is: http://www.popmatters.com/pm/review/171986-its-good-news-im-afraid-death-sentence-1/

Thrud is so getting bought!

Thrud looks fantastic. I remember it from the 80s was it not in White Dwarf mag?

This looks like a fantastic imprint. Love the creator owned stuff always get cool concepts like this:

When the Allies and Nazis develop time-diving technology that could see the Second World War derailed by creatures from the Cretaceous, only the Sarge and his band of misfit soldiers can save the future – by saving history! Dinosaurs! Giant crocodiles! Albert Einstein with a machinegun!

Yeah it was, Carl Critchlow has been producing since then and self publishing when it left White Dwarf. I think that got to 5 or so issues?

The latest edition to the Titan stable, running first in the creator owned slot of the Meg. Looks like it could be one of the best stories Rob and D'isreali have done - which is really saying something

Interview with the very funny Mike Dowling, and me, touching on 2000ad work and how we ended up at Titan.http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=46134

Some of the upcoming stuff: http://titan-comics.com/news/sdcc-13-brand-new-creator-owned-projects-due-2014/

I'm most intrigued by Mr Pat Mills, Tony Skinner, Duke Mighten, Martin Edmond (god rest his soul) Accident Man. I have fond memories! I wonder how it holds up?

In other news orders for Death Sentence have been really strong, particularly in the US and Canada, roughly twice what anyone here was expecting. Titan are making sound inroads, it seems.

I bought Comic Heroes and it's a fantastic issue, with a lot of Titan comics coverage in it. They chat to Titan's owner (and ex Tharg) Nick Landau about the line, and focus on all the comics and graphic novels in the roster. They review about six of the new titles out soon, and there's a little bonus preview mag from with greater depth on each title, reviews, when it's coming out etc (Marada the She Wolf from Chris Claremont and John Bolton looks amazing)  Best of all there's the bonus 52 page comic sampler, with Death Sentence, Thrud, First Kingdom, and It Came inside. Haven't read it all yet, but I was eager to check out It Came and it's delightful. If you're a fan of 50's sci fi or British cinema you will adore this. Some lovely storytelling touches and an original tone that affectionately revels in and lampoons the genre.

There's also a great interview with Al Ewing on his new writing gig at Marvel, an in depth look at the incredible David Lloyd's timeless body of work, and lots of other cool looking stuff with Joe Hill, Bendis etc which I haven't got to yet.

AND a free pen and writing pad. Seriously...If they'd added a Space Spinner I couldn't have been happier.

Recommended.

O Lucky Stevie!

So has anyone outside of the UK actually seen a copy of Numbercruncher yet?

Diamond's site has issue 3 down as shipping last week but our LCS is still waiting for it's pre-orders to be filled for the first two.
"We'll send all these nasty words to Aunt Jane. Don't you think that would be fun?"

Montynero

I haven't heard of any similar problems, Stevie, but I'll mention it to Titan. Who's your LCS?

In other news - It's exactly two weeks till Death Sentence is out, and there's a new review here:
