I have to go with Matt on this one. I haven't had any problems with TBD, in fact its Amazon i've had poor packaging issues with.

Well despite the book clearly being second hand (or extensively handled prior to sale - the damage is INSIDE a protective case that is not damaged, the traditional wrap on the book is absent) and damaged they refused to replace / accept return of the item. So I'm left with a large very expensive damaged book and a 40 quid hole in the wallet. Fuck em. Buyer beware kids, if you buy from them you're taking a risk.

Unlike their parent company, the book depository seem to operate a 'under no circumstances will we accept returns' policy.

Would be terrible for them if their parent company somehow ended up with this copy in their own inventory..

That's really weird - I've had a few books from them that were damaged in the post, and they've arranged a replacement or refund PDQ.

Same here, the staff were really helpful. There were about three of them trying to resolve my matter at the same time! Lol. I'm thinking your query was possibly handled by an inexperienced employee...probably.. You should try and see if you can speak to someone more senior. I'm surprised they didn't exchange it

It just had to happen didn't it. Here i am bigging up The Book Depository whilst at the same time the silly blighters haven't yet dispatched my order, even though its well over three days now! 

If i do have one criticism about them its with processing time - it takes bloody ages. I'm just lamenting the fact that if i had ordered from Amazon my order would've been here by now. Oh well..
