Gratuitous plug stuff first:

BABBLE is From the minds of writer Lee Robson and Bryan Coyle; and is an original GN published by Com.X.

On a personal note I can tell you that Lee has written more than 20 stories that I have published, and is one of the few writers I would consider capable of 'writing to order' when the need arises.  Bryan has completed over 100 pages of artwork for me and has proven himself time and again to be a 'go to' man for artwork.

Lee has been promoting the heck out of this for a while now, and I am writing this while my copy downloads from Comixology, I don't doubt I'm in for a treat when I read this tonight.

Cheers for the shameless plugging, Dave!  I would have done it myself but I feared being called A WHORE.

Dave is not kidding about Lee writing to order, either, as he wrote that Dredd vs Shako strip on the Advent Calendar thread http://issuu.com/imaginarystories/docs/judge_dredd-the_right_to_arm_bears based on nothing but a sketch I did ages ago on one of the art threads.

Where can I buy it, physical copy preffered!

Professor Bear

All the ordering details are available here: http://www.babblecomic.com/where-to-buy/
Amazon for some reason are saying they're out of stock, but I'd ignore that as we've heard from people who've ordered and received their copies just fine.

In Babblecomic.com's words

Quote from: Babble.com link=topic=http://www.babblecomic.com/about/
Carrie Hartnoll is a girl lost in a life going nowhere fast, until a chance encounter with an ex-boyfriend affords her the opportunity of a whole new career in Ivy League America, as part of a research team attempting to resurrect the language of Babel – a language, it is theorised, that can be understood by any human, from anywhere in the world.

As Carrie pieces together her fractured personal life, she becomes embroiled in the mystery surrounding the apparent suicide of the project's original team leader, which propels her to uncover the horrific truth about the language and why it was written out of the history books...

Babble is an original graphic novel by Lee Robson and Bryan Coyle due to be published by Com.X in 6th January 2013 in the UK and 30th January 2013 in the US.

I've just finished the book and it is a corker. Personally I reckon Tharg should have run this instead of Snapshot. The plot is tight, the storytelling is spot-on and the art is superb throughout.

I have read a lot of twisty fiction over the years, so I was expecting to work out the ending well in advance. I didn't.

If you are in two minds about reading this- then please, get a copy. I got it from Comixology for £3.75 and you can't tell me that isn't good value for a 114 page book.

Colin Smith has reviewed the book and done an interview with me and Lee for the Too Busy website which may be of interest to small press regulars as it's all about working in indy books for no pay for years and years: http://toobusythinkingboutcomics.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/on-babble-with-interview-with-its.html

Regular readers of the forum will be shocked to discover that I come off as a total cock, but I'm regardless dead chuffed to get a positive review from Colin.
