Not heard talk of this, but looks like Mr Ewing has made the big time at last... well assuming you think Marvel is the big time. I've lost track of my Avengers titles so not sure quite where Avengers Assemble fits into things but this being an Age of Ultron cross-over it must be a fairly high profile title?

QuoteAVENGERS ASSEMBLE #15AU
AL EWING (W) • BUTCH GUICE (A)
Cover by NIC KLEIN
AGE OF ULTRON TIE-IN
ULTRON RULES OK! The AGE OF ULTRON hits Britain, and Captain Britain hits back with a little help from his friends - including a vacationing Captain Marvel! Fighting a guerilla war in the ruins of London, AGGRO! is a way of life for Avengers UK - but when they might just be the last super heroes left alive, can there still be hope? Or is England dreaming?
32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$3.99

And he gets to write Captain Britain who has to be on everyone list of characters to work with.

Edited to add: Oh he's doing the issue before this as well a quick check has revealed, is this a case of me being slow on the up take then...

"We'll send all these nasty words to Aunt Jane. Don't you think that would be fun?"

I sincerely hope Al has stolen Dan's secret cloning technology.  Obviously I want him to (to paraphrase Eddie Campbell's recollections of some other beardy superstar) land among the Yanks like a hungry wolf, doing violence to their cosy concepts of the earnest super being (and fill his garters with grubby bills while he's at it), but I also want him chained to his typewriter in the deepest, dankest sub-basement of the Nerve Centre, his only hope of freedom to be of the artistic variety.

Al Ewing on Captain Britain? I'm in! :D

Heh. There is 0% chance anyone other than Al wrote that solicitation text. SOLD, of course.

Any chance the England's Dreaming bit is an oblique reference to Bill, rather than Jon Savage. I've not met Al Ewing so there's every chance he's just a pen name which allows Pat Mills to dominate the output of every publisher in the way he does Rebellion, and a Mills/Marvel universe crossover would be unforgettable.

Great news!  The only downer is the presence of Captain Marvel, though I have no doubt that Al will do us proud regardless.
