I would have thought that Tennant episode where the Doctor condemned a woman to a living death as a paving slab that gave blowjobs was the worst episode ever.
This. A thousand times this.

That we where never supposed to see the whole Ice Warrior. It was deliberately kept in the shadows. Then they make THAT toy. The head doesn't even resemble the one we saw! GAH! I care to much!

So... They should have made shadowy toys?
Forgive my if this seems obtuse of me, but I really don't get the argument here...

Perhaps they just shouldn't have made it.  ;)

Perhaps you should just not buy it. I suspect they didn't have you in mind when they were compiling the market research.

You seem to be missing the point here. What's the point of keeping something hidden...only to go and make a toy of said thing and bear all? It's Cloverfield all over again. The snarck and hypocrisy on here can sometime bewilder me.

You're equating Cloverfield with a prime-time BBC family show?

QuoteThe snarck and hypocrisy on here can sometime bewilder me.

Where's the "snarck [sic] and hypocrisy"? You said something stupid, and I pointed out that it was stupid. Your justification is even more stupid.

If you don't want people pointing out that you said something stupid, try saying fewer stupid things.

Bah.

Man, the BBC's so stupid for creating money-making toys for kids based on a popular family TV show, thereby wrecking some of the mystery that kids won't even care about, and annoying a few grumpy sci-fi fans with rose-tinted glasses glued to their faces, because EVERYTHING WAS BETTER IN [insert year here].

Those fools!

Now *that's* sarcasm. See the difference?

Hypocrite.
DDT did a job on me

Hypocrisy? How is this any different from the Halo tits uproar? I see this as being a far worse use of artistic license, in Halo's case the art was by Gibson, the CO-CREATOR, thus had every right to do such. In the case of The Ice Warrior, some artistic merit was taken in the new armour and, weather you liked it or not, the creature itself. But it was a good move by Gatiss to keep the creature in the dark, so as not to shatter allusions to secrecy that has been integral to the race ever since there conception by Brian Hayles. If Mr. Hayles had designed said creature, then I'd be OK with that. But he didn't, so it's taking a metaphorical dump all over creation.

The last few posts have actually shocked me at how immature some of you are, I seriously expected better from men of your age and position. Or has access to the holy moderator key board cut off circulation to your brain? The level of immaturity is mind bending.

Say's a bunch of codgery old men who complained about a drawing of a bird with her flappers out! Honestly, continue to hound me with these insults and I will be reporting some of you. Cease these childish attacks immediately.  >:(
