You may have seen the news in the Dredd 2012 thread from Adi. Well, rather than clutter that thread up, I thought it best to reignite this one, seeing as it's all about his Dredd short.

Adi has tweeted that it will be out in a couple of months!

It's not the way the corporate mind works it's the way you HAVE to proceed to protect your intellectual property in certain situations. Seeing as Rebellion are happy with fan films I'd assume and hope its nothing like that though.
