You're not the only one mate, i've also had to cancel my trip as i'm in pretty bad shape. Both my legs playing up now, can't take a step without shouting in agony. For those that don't know i've got chronic back problem/ Sciatica, and the pain goes all the way down my legs. Just really pissed, out of all the days....was so looking forward to seeing Ron and co.

I don't post here very often, but I just wanted to say that this turned out to be a great signing day. The artists/writers were extremely friendly, courteous and charming - both Al Ewing and Ben Willsher did little Zombo and Dredd pics for me without my even asking, and it was such an honour to meet the legend that is Ron Smith. A very talented, kind and friendly man. Respect! Thanks FP!

The only down side of the day was that afterwards, I went to Gosh Comics in Soho, and someone had done a big caricature of Matt Smith on the front window.

I'll do my write up tomorrow about the day but I do hope that Ron manages to do another event like this, as it was wonderful and the reception he got was just perfect!

I hope he does - I was pretty pissed not to have made it , so fingers crossed there'll be another event this year? Amazing how jealous I can be when seeing photos of an event that I was umming and aahing about because of the cost , and then work intervenes to settle it for me. Let's hope he does something!

Had a great day. As usual, all the droids were very friendly. Ron Smith was very courteous, shaking the hand of everyone who was getting his signature. Really pleased that I got to meet him. I decided to just get the FCBD issue of 2000AD signed and to buy Case Files 6 with a Ron Smith cover rather than take something I already own (in the spirit of FCBD and all that). I also bought Case Files 5 as I am way behind with my reading.
