No, it's a static prop. (it says on the official promo pic)

No, it's a static prop.

Nah, I'm sure I've seen him in a few different poses.

Steve Green

His jaw is definitely a static prop after a day doing that.

That fantastic Lawgiver reminds me of the old 'Top thrill' logo.

I always preferred the pea shooter to the MkII. The latter reminds me too much of the other movie.

Love that. This is a new feeling for me: a desire to own a replica firearm. I really like the MK I and I always have.

Was thinking the very same thing.  Just a pity it's not a cap gun.

I LOVE that picture, it even makes Burdis look imposing! That could be the Statue of Judgement right there!

I've gotta say, I'm normally a mk2 man too. The original (unless it's done by Carlos) always looked a bit wimpy to me. Loving the Planet Replicas version though, s'nice and chunky!

Steve Green

Yeah, I can understand why they wanted to have a crack at re-designing it, although I think once that happened it meant that artists started to experiment a bit more (look at Henry's MKII at the top of the page for example)

I really liked the concept for the 2012 movie one, would like to see a physical prop version of that.

Spikes

Great photo's! The MK1 really looks superb in these, doesnt it - and completes the overall effect perfectly.
As an old fart, who's got used to the MK2 now, ive gotta say the MK1 is just so iconic, isnt it.

Sideshow Bob

Absolutely fabulous photo !!...
The Mark 1 is so 'iconic' and this is the best replica of it I've ever seen....
I saw one several years ago on eBay,  and it was a resin cast and it looked so 'fragile' with a very thin barrel section.....This looks much more 'real life'......and as Mr Wells says...'nice and chunky'...

And it's legal !!!  .....not a bootleg / knock-off.....Yahhhh !!!.....
Or as they say in that Movie........." If you build it,  they will come ".....Expect 'big' sales on this from Dredd fans ( provided it's not outrageously expensive )...
Great stuff...

Yes that's nice. And an interesting perspective shot in that shot CF.

I've often been more a mark 2 than Mark 1 man, but this version looks suitably nasty. (I mean that in a good way.) That tarnished look makes it look a bit rusty though, which I doubt a well kept weapon would be. I don't think it's meant to be rusty though, just the metal affect, or something. Either way it looks pretty good, with a kind of archaic vibe, if that makes sense.

It's probably more to do with the filter I've used on some of the photos to make them pop a bit.

(Unsharp Mask/Clarity)

This is more accurate in the finish.

It's always a tricky balance, it's the same with badges/helmets/uniforms - some like it weathered, some don't...

the last thing some perps gonna see. Fantastic!

Okay, you've seen the superb pics that Steve Green took. Well here is one after it has been slightly altered by Shrapnel Studios. It shows the Mk1 in action in front of Bisley Block.
