Shouldn't Death's spirit form be emanating from Sandra's head? Judging by the similar rock chick barnet, the general demeanour, and the relative obscurity of the character in the US, that's the same girl who features in this, which - until the film came out last year - was the only photograph which came up when you did an image search for Anderson.

Fantastic as Integra is, I suppose if you want the long tall blonde and lovely all American look of Bolland's fevered imaginings you have to go direct to the source. She seems to have changed partners from previous years.

Maybe it's Kraken...

They're both the same people, they've done this con and last year. I seem to recall that Rosie is about the same height or possibly shorter than Integra who is 5' 2", but her boots have heels. At a guess Jared is about 5'10", Rosie about 5'1" maybe 5'2".

A lot depends who they're standing next to.

It's more a case of whoever is closest to the con and fancies doing it - luckily Anderson seems to range quite a bit in look, which helps a lot with hairstyles.

I think my favourite is still the Brett Ewins stylings of the first shoot I did with her - would like to do a proper shoot with the PR judges again some time, rather than at a con, and actually take my time getting some good shots.

The main thing is getting lots of visibility at cons, which these guys as well as Burdis, Pal, Lemmy, Court, Pal et al have been doing a sterling job on.

Mental, maybe he's on a lower step of the escalator in that more recent snap. Actually, that last image you posted of Rosie with Urban has the quality of Otto the bus driver's girlfriend, rather than Kim Basinger or Daryl Hannah. You've convinced me of the freshly scrubbed, cherubic charms of Integra - Hepatitis C freaks me out.

You know that's an actual real human person you're talking about?

Sod the heights, I want to know why Jared has placed his daystick onto his right side!

No, I was describing the photograph. She looks great in the other pictures I've seen of her.

Still, best not to make comments about people's personal appearance, eh?

COMMANDO FORCES

Here's a nice group shot of Jared and his friend (sorry can't recall her name) with some 2012 Judges

Oh my lord. Usually I go to SDCC once a decade just to remind myself why I'm never going again. Then after a few years I slip up a bit and start thinking "ehh. Maybe it wasn't as bad as I remember it..." and end up going again.

Had a great time but man, if you've never been to this one there's nothing to really describe it. It's like, and I mean this quite literally, stepping onto another world. Completely overwhelming. You can actually feel your brain straining inside your skull simply because it cannot handle the visuals. Everywhere you look, something fucking crazy is happening.

Luckily, I stumbled upon the 2000AD booth as soon as I walked in and blew a chunk of my self-allocated budget in the space of fifteen minutes. No will power. Met the staff. Everyone's a total gent. The almighty Henry Flint sketched me a Dredd. Lovely, lovely guy. Just like Kevin O'Neill, it's disconcerting to try associate the imagery of the art with the actual artist and make it add up. So much stuff to buy. So many shiny things.

The panel was cool. Pretty healthy turnout from the fans. 2000AD's definitely making some inroads here at last, compared to a few years ago. I do feel most of the people were there in relation to the movie but that's good too as at least they're getting exposed to the comic itself and the other characters around Dredd.

Richmond and Dave should be honored to know Zarjaz and FutureQuake got some serious love from the 2000AD staff. They plugged what the guys are doing with real affection and respect.

I'm cool with the IDW Rogue idea. From what I understood, it won't tie in with 2000AD continuity, just like their version of Dredd, and I could be wrong but I got the impression it won't be a retelling of the Traitor General arc either. (Which is probably just as well. Let's have something new.) Dave Gibbons may return to do some cover art for it, which is great. He's excited about a new take on the old material.

Met up with John Higgins after that for a sketch. Great chatting with him. Ended up talking shop with him for about twenty minutes.
