The popular sci-fi strip makes its way to our shores! Finn and Ramone in two classic 2000 AD stories! First is "Money Shots," which sees the two gunsharks crashing the set of an adult movie in order to carry out a hit on a target that may be happier to see them than they expected! Second is "Point Blanc." The duo is recruited to take out a narc boss who owns extreme firepower. Is their mystery employer out for more than control of Downlode's heavy-duty killware?

32 pages, $3.99.

Man, I'd forgotten how good Andy Clarke was. I assume he's made his name in American comics...? (I don't read many of them!)

Ancient Otter

Finnigan Sinister looks a bit like Guy Pearce to me in Andy Clarke's cover.

I was hoping it would be in order....ah well will still buy it since its reprints and not shit new stuff

Really hope this takes off so S&D finally get a reprint trade series back off the ground and up and running. They've always seemed a perfect fit for the US market to my naive mind.

Judge Brian

What is going to hurt the series is that it's going to be reprinted in US standard comic size. After seeing the inch and a half boarder on the Dredd reprints I've decided to drop all the IDW color 2000 AD reprints.

Why does Finn wear clown make-up? Is it even make-up?

PsychoGoatee

Very cool, I think reprinting the great original stuff is a better approach than IDW trying to make a quick reboot. There's so much good stuff, this is the approach I'd take for every 2000AD property.

I'm pretty certain the period they're starting with at least is from the brief time (two years was it?) when 2000ad had US proportions. So for the first few issues at least this won't be a problem.

COMMANDO FORCES

This is out today and I bought the variant cover, as it's so much better!

As a big Sin/Dex fan I'd love to support this title, but Money Shots is a personal lowpoint of the entire run.  Perhaps in the wider context of the strip (as in the Money Shots GN) it's just another bit of signature tasteless silliness, but dildo jokes and horny porn actresses seems a strange way to introduce new readers to the strip.

That Andy Clarke Sin Dex cover was used on the first 2000AD I was ever published in, fact fans!

Issue 2 is out and on the back is an advert for the Mega City Two mini series.
