Info Wanted - Strip... the comic grows up

Hello all,

Hopefully someone can help me. There doesn't seem to be much info around on the above comic. If someone could point me in the direction of further info, it would be much appreciated.

I picked up 1 - 6 in a recent collection I aquired. Google tells me there were 21 issues in all?

Anyone have any for sale/trade?

Not sure if you mean the same comic, but here's the thread on Strip: http://forums.2000adonline.com/index.php/topic,29068.0.html, and a link to their site; http://stripcomicmagazineuk.blogspot.co.uk/, but it has been plagued with distribution trouble and only 2 issues have come out so far.

I think he's referring to the the early 90s title. If so there's a link to GCD that covers it.

Not too much info about the contents (and its a long time since I shipped mine out so I certainly can't remember, but it was pretty good as I recall)

As I recall, though I may be wrong. Issue 21 is one of those mythical beast that was made but never really distributed and its damned rare...? I think that's how it goes?

I remember Strip and still may have some of those in the attic. I recall Genghis Grimtoad being mentioned previously in another thread, and knew I had read it but could not recall where I had read it. It now becomes clear after looking at those links!!
Does anyone have a list of UK anthologies from the 80's / 90's, as I also recall another anthology from my youth that had amongst others a fantasy story in it with amazing painted art and for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the story or what it appeared in. I am sure the artist and story were European (french ) in origin but translated for the UK.

The six issues I have are pretty good and was hoping I'd find some more in one of the boxes but it was just those. Some good stuff in them and some very familiar names who would later go on to bigger things. If anyone does have the rest, let me know.
